ABOUT
Hello, my name is Scott Nelles and my passion is helping design professionals design and build decentralized systems for onsite, wastewater purification, recycling, and reuse.
These decentralized, onsite wastewater purification and reuse systems can reduce water consumption by up to 90%. This is accomplished by treating, purifying and reusing graywater and/or blackwater for non-potable purposes i.e., irrigation, toilets, manufacturing, cooling towers.
Onsite wastewater treatment systems, along with stormwater management tools are reliable, sensible solutions to problems associated with: water shortages, overburdened wastewater treatment infrastructure; new developments located a significant distance from current wastewater treatment facilities.
With a working knowledge of both architecture and engineering design, and through a LEED perspective, I offer a holistic, green approach, covering and crossing traditional disciplines as appropriate to the project and solution.
Water reclamation and reuse systems can contribute significantly towards green building certifications such as LEED*.
I also believe in spreading the word about the necessity to accelerate our understanding and practice of water reclamation technologies. I'm interested in helping your organization increase their understanding of water management and sustainable building and am willing and eager to help...gratis. Yes, that's for free!
